in this project, the artist explores the importance of a passport in shaping a person’s life experience and identity in a given place, culture, and system. reflecting on the commodification of nature as a possible vestige of colonialism, Amanda Teixeira adopted the format of a passport with stickers of fruits and vegetables consumed while living in the US, imitating stamps.
