from México. we’ve been following Famosísima for a while; the first pin we got from them was a reproduction of the Totonaca piece “El Columpio”, created in clay in the periodo Clásico mesoamericano. we had never seen anything like that before; beyond putting the spotlight on a historical figurine we were not aware of, Famosísima makes their designs feel approachable and effortless, while representing the cultural heritage of our ancestors - they are conversation starters that allow you to nerd out on and/or appreciate the historical context of the prehispanic region.
