Daniel Centeno (Los Mochis, 1991) writes death fiction short stories. he is the author of Rara vez elegimos morir (Trazos de Aves) and No hablaremos de muerte a los fantasmas (Casa Futura). he won the XXXV National Prize for Fantasy and Science Fiction Short Stories with the story Noturo. he received an honorable mention in the XVI Juan José Arreola National Short Story Contest. he was a recipient of a grant from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) in 2017-2018 and 2022-2023, and from PECDA Jalisco in 2020-2021 in the short story category.
